Verification Methodology
What each ChinaMedMap label means, what evidence it requires, how long it lasts, and what it never implies.
Principles
- A fact is published only with a source: an official provider page, a government or regulatory document, or a confirmation from an authorised contact at the institution.
- Every source records its owner, original language, the date we retrieved it and a recheck date.
- Where official sources conflict or are silent, we say “not yet confirmed” rather than choosing the more flattering answer.
- Hospital marketing claims — “best”, “leading”, success rates — are not collected as facts.

No label implies a clinical endorsement, guaranteed availability, guaranteed outcomes, a ranking, government approval of ChinaMedMap, or medical advice.
Verification records
Each label is backed by an internal record of the evidence reviewed, the reviewer, the verification date, an expiry date, the scope of the label and — if it is withdrawn — the reason. Labels expire. When core evidence passes its recheck date, the profile is flagged for review and may be removed from search engines until it has been rechecked.
Review cycle
Provider profiles are rechecked at least every 6 to 12 months, and sooner when a hospital tells us something has changed. Each profile shows its last-verified date.
Corrections
Every profile has a “Report incorrect information” link. We check reports against the official source and update the profile or explain why we have not.
